The Hamburg, docked yesterday for the first time in the Port of Santo Domingo, originating from Bahamas, under the command of German operator, Plantours Kreuzfahrten.
Featuring 340 passengers onboard, mainly of German nationality, and represented by the maritime agency B&R, this cruise will visit the Bahamas, Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo, Santiago de Cuba, Montego Bay, Cienfuegos, Pinos Island and Havana.
This 144meter vessel and 15.067 tonnes in net weight, can host up to 400 passengers in 197 bunk beds and 8 suites, featuring six passenger decks where all standards in vessel regulation of reduced dimensions are met supreme.
As part of the traditional protocol, upon the arrival of the “S.S M/V Hamburg”, an exchange of plaques was made, headed by Jaime Castillo, executive director of Sans Soucí Ports, and the captain, German Dieckmann Phillip.
The ceremony took place at the Sans Soucí terminal, on board the embarkation, where Castillo conversed with Dieckmann and thanked the cruise line for choosing Sans Soucí , Port of Santo Domingo, as destination for dockage and invited them to continue making port in this facility.
During their stay in Santo Domingo, cruisers enjoyed the many available tours asides the diverse amenities prepared by Sans Soucí for the occasion.
