The Hamburg Docks in Sans Soucí

The Hamburg, docked yesterday for the first time in the Port of Santo Domingo, originating from Bahamas, under the command of German operator, Plantours Kreuzfahrten.

Featuring 340 passengers onboard, mainly of German nationality, and represented by the maritime agency B&R, this cruise will visit the Bahamas, Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo, Santiago de Cuba, Montego Bay, Cienfuegos, Pinos Island and Havana.

This 144meter vessel and 15.067 tonnes in net weight, can host up to 400 passengers in 197 bunk beds and 8 suites, featuring six passenger decks where all standards in vessel regulation of reduced dimensions are met supreme.

As part of the traditional protocol, upon the arrival of the “S.S M/V Hamburg”, an exchange of plaques was made, headed by Jaime Castillo, executive director of Sans Soucí Ports, and the captain, German Dieckmann Phillip.

The ceremony took place at the Sans Soucí terminal, on board the embarkation, where Castillo conversed with Dieckmann and thanked the cruise line for choosing Sans Soucí , Port of Santo Domingo, as destination for dockage and invited them to continue making port in this facility.

During their stay in Santo Domingo, cruisers enjoyed the many available tours asides the diverse amenities prepared by Sans Soucí for the occasion.

Santo Domingo. The Barna Business School, the VICINI Research Centre for Sustainability educational facility, presented the Parmalat case, where in front of students and executives, was presented a discussion panel and analysis on the experience regarding Parmalat  through the term 2008-2020, when the company was undergoing a crossroads, as was explained, “submerged in a very complex casuistry”.

The discussion board-forum took place at the Aula Magna of the institution, which specially presented the Parmalat Dominicana “facing a thousand challenges, creating shared value”, by José Manuel Alcaraz, Francisco Javier Bernal and Rodolfo Hollander. According to explanations, where the facts that led to the design of a solution for a wide array of business issues, before the presence of the observers, were explained; the company that in other times had achieved significant market share quotas, had then, scarce possibilities for its subsistence.

“The challenges to face were multiple: a production plant needing to be modernized, very significant deaths, difficulties with the HO, a financial situation that seemed everything but optimal, the urgent need for improvement in distributor relations, with dairy farmers as well as with the in-house staff”, indicated one of the presentations.

Fiat for its Second Year Issues Less CO2 in Europe

Fiat Emits Less CO2 or Its Fifth Consecutive Year

For its sixth consecutive year, Fiat confirms once more as the vehicle brand that registered the lesser level of CO2 emissions in Europe between the most sold vehicle brands, which an average value of 119.8g/km. This result was certified and presented by the company JATO Dynamics, regarding a consultancy and research carried out within the automobile sector.

This important achievement is fruit of the constant efforts on behalf of FIAT in the search for sustainable mobility: in the last 6 months, the brand reduced by 13% its own average emissions, going from 137.3 to 119.8g/km of CO2 and surpassing sensibly the established limit by the EU for 2015 of 130g/km.

Among the diverse technological novelties which were introduced last year, features the new 0.9 TwinAir Turbo Natural Power of 80CV (methane/gasoline), two-cylinder engine which combines the ecological advantages of natural gas fuel feed and conduction.

Induveca Displays the Magic of its Carnival Devils in Supermarkets

Carnival, a cultural festival of the peoples. Inland, renowned brands such as Induveca makes an echo of this annual cultural manifestation.

For this occasion, the Induveca executives celebrated the Carnaval Vegano 2013, with a series of activities hosted at different supermarkets nationwide.

For this particular occasion the celebration was hosted at Multicentro La Sirena on Luperón Avenue, where customers had the opportunity to take pictures next to the devils of different parade groups. The hosts of this fun afternoon were Mirla Tejeda, Promotions coordinator and Junior Núnez, supervisor at Induveca, asides Virgilio Ulloa, store manager for La Sirena-Luperón.

During the rendez-vous, all customers had their picture taken with the devils, which they later received as a souvenir. There was also a tasting held featuring all brand products.
