Santo Domingo. Aimed at sharing quality time with their clientele, Banco del Progreso and American Express sponsored the premiere for the film “The Adventures of Tin Tin”.

The movie theater Palacio del Cine in Blue Mall was the selected scenario for all guests to enjoy the entertaining film, which, without a doubt was well received by the attending public, children as well as adults.

This activity forms part of the campaign launched by Banco del Progreso and American Express in order to strengthen ties in a more familiar approach with credit card users as well as their clients and relations.

Tourists Are Happily Received

Santo Domingo.  With the goal of promoting Dominican culture in cruise tourists, Sansoucí Ports scheduled a warm welcome for the passengers of the Braemar vessel, which transited at the Santo Domingo Port this weekend.

The Braemar, featuring approximately 900 passengers from Europe, in their majority from England, was received due to being Christmas with rhythms and allegorical activities, typical of the season. The joyful welcome was nuanced with typical dances, holiday songs and sampling of iconic Dominican products.

This activity featured the support of Chocolates Munné, Cerveza Presidente and the Ministry of Tourism, whom were in charge of providing beer for sampling, hot chocolate, bombons, chocolate bars and folklore dancing.

Likewise, an exhibition of the process for cacao pulping was carried out, accompanied by brief informative talks on the cacao production and cacao culture in the country.

Sharon Mei, commercial director for Sansoucí, emphasized the importance of establishing a bond with cruise tourists, traditions and the Dominican identity that ensure a unique Caribbean experience.

“In accordance to the treatment the tourists receive and the relationship between them with Santo Domingo, there will be a positive influence in the positioning of repeated visits to the cruise destination”, said Mei.

Visitors also received information about the city, the usual shuttle services, tours and taxi services. These visitors went later on to visit the Colonial City and other neighbouring attractions around the Santo Domingo Port.

A note sent to this newspaper states, that the aim of this type of activity is to open doors to their related parties, to open doors and visit the facilities of the Villa Duarte facility and strengthen ties with the livestock farmers.

Parmalat Shows Facilities to Livestock Farmers

Executives of Parmalat Dominicana received a group of livestock farmers whom supply milk to the company, with the purpose of showing the facilities located in Villa Duarte.

Roberto Amodio, General Manager at Parmalat, alongside other company executives, welcomed the group of farmers that supply locally produced milk in order to be processed and turned into the Parmalat product portfolio.

Amodio said that the program seeks the binomium quality/productivity, showing signs of goal consolidation thus promoting a strategic alliance with their providers, mainly those whom come from family dairy farming, where the future of the sustainability of the dairy sector in the country lies.

The farmers had the opportunity to learn in detail the process of production with the UHT methodology (Ultra High Temperature), which transforms local liquefied milk into Leche Larga Vida (Long Life Milk), packaged aseptically, with a lifespan of 180 days prior to consumption.

During the event, visitors learned the particularities regarding the company with respects to their quality, purchasing policies, and issued investments as well as future and long-term projects.

In this sense, the origin of locally produced milk plays an important role which is comprised within the quality standards demanded by Parmalat.
